Master Scholarships for Indonesian Citizen to USA, PRESTASI IIEF USAID

A key component of the U.S. government’s development program in Indonesia has always been training, and the support for both short and long-term exchange opportunities continues to be powerful tool in helping individuals, organizations, and institutions acquire the knowledge, skills, and capacity to support Indonesia’s on-going development. Program to Extend Scholarships and Training to Achieve Sustainable Impacts (PRESTASI) provides opportunities for Indonesians to earn Master degrees in selected fields primarily from a university in the US. PRESTASI is open to all Indonesians who meet the requirements.
Target of participant for PRESTASI Program are as follow:
  • Emerging Leaders
  • NGO
  • Public and private sector institutions
  • Female participation
  • Under-represented and disadvantaged areas
The goal of PRESTASI is to improve the performance and leadership skills of Indonesian professionals, which, in turn will help to promote development in Indonesia. Specifically, PRESTASI will provide training and technical services required to strengthen and expand the base of skilled, high-performing professionals and institutions in Indonesia’s public and private sector.


PRESTASI will continue to support the tradition of participant training and human capacity development by providing opportunities for advanced academic degrees in the U.S. and Indonesia. Since 2007, PRESTASI has supported 162 participants for short term opportunities and 191 participants for longer term opportunities to study in the U.S., Indonesia and third countries.
Selection Criteria
The selection process is highly competitive.
Candidates must show:
  • Leadership abilities
  • Excellence in a technical field
  • Academic interests that are relevant to the achievement of USAID/Indonesia and GOI development goals
  • Academic or other necessary qualifications for the desired training.
General Requirement
  • Indonesian citizen
  • U.S. government employee/USAID contractor staff or employee where salary is directly paid by U.S. government is ineligible to apply
  • Available for a minimum of 10 (ten) years of employment prior to retirement upon completion of study
  • Evidence of English ability in the form of either ITP TOEFL® score of 450 or IBT TOEFL® score of 45 or IELTS score of 5.0
  • Hold a bachelor degree or equal, with minimum GPA of 2.75 (scale 4.0)
  • Have a strong commitment to return Indonesia upon graduation
  • Currently not receiving scholarship from other institution
  • No prior master degree
  • Minimum two (2) years working experience in the same field with the proposed of study

Scholarships, Merit Awards and Bursaries, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Singapore

Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) offers a range of financial award schemes namely Scholarships, Merit Awards and Bursaries which aims at helping students cope with the cost of art education in Singapore. Over the years, we received generous donation from various donors and supporters which helped realised the dream of many students to complete their studies at NAFA.In the coming academic year 2013/2014, we have the continued support from various donors and we are pleased to announce the commencement for the application of the Scholarships, Merit Awards and Bursaries for Diploma students from 11 January 2013 onwards till 5 April 2013.

International Student Scholarships, Bond University, Australia

The International Student Scholarships are a testament to Bond University’s commitment to quality and outstanding international students. These scholarships are available to international students who have demonstrated outstanding academic ability (academic merit based scholarships).

Value
25% to 50% of tuition fees of any undergraduate or postgraduate degree (excluding Bond University’s Medical Program, Master of Psychology, Doctor of Physiotherapy)

Eligibility

Application Submission
All international students who have made an application to study at Bond University (by the scholarship closing date for each semester) will be considered for an International Student Scholarship.
It is recommended that when students complete a Bond University Application Form, they submit a personal statement (outlining why you should be awarded a Bond scholarship), references, resume and certified copies of other relevant documentation to assist in supporting your application.
As part of the selection process, all shortlisted applicants will be required to participate in a telephone interview.
Selections for each intake of scholarship students are assessed based on academic merit. Should your submission not be successful at the time of application, your details will be reassessed for future semester intakes up until the point of acceptance.
Please note: Only short-listed applicants will be contacted for an interview. If you are not contacted for an interview by the dates stated in the general information above, then you can assume you have been unsuccessful in your application. Fulbright Dikti Master Degree Scholarship, American Indonesian Exchange Foundation, USA

The program is open to applicants who serve as part time or permanent faculty members of state and private institutions of higher education in Indonesia. Applicants will possess:
  • a Bachelor (S1) degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.00 scale)
  • a leadership qualities
  • a good understanding of Indonesian and international cultures
  • a demonstrated commitment to the chosen field of study
  • a willingness to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright-DIKTI program
  • a minimum institutional TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS score of 6.0 or IBT score of 79/80. Please note that TOEFL prediction or TOEFL-like score cannot be accepted.
DISCIPLINES
All disciplines and fields of study are eligible for a Fulbright award. The fields of study covered by the Fulbright scholarship program in the past were limited to the Social Sciences and Humanities. Since 2004, however, the policy has been changed to include also other disciplines with the exception of fields related to patient care or medical training nor to continue their study at medical school.

KSP Student Scholarships, Sciences Po, France

KSP Student Scholarships – 2013
For Studies on the Arab World and the Gulf Region

The Kuwait Program at Sciences Po (KSP) is a partnership between the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) and Sciences Po. Working together, the two institutions are supporting research and teaching in the social sciences and the humanities with special emphasis on the study of the Arab World and the Gulf Region.
The KSP Student Scholarship program supports the next generation of leaders and experts in the Arab World and the Gulf Region. KSP offers scholarships to graduate students admitted to Sciences Po and enrolled in Master programs related to this field of study. Every year multiple scholarships of up to 10,000 Euros each will be awarded on the basis of the candidates’ excellent academic record and project at Sciences Po.
Eligibility
Students in the following Master programs are eligible:
  • At the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) of Sciences Po:
    • students admitted to PSIA and committed to enroll in the Concentration Middle East
    • students admitted to the Master in International Energy
  • At the Doctoral School of Sciences Po:
    • students currently in the first year of a Research Master program and committed to writing a Master thesis focusing on the Arab World and the Gulf Region in their second year
Students of all nationalities may apply.


Scholarships
Multiple scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis in 2013-2014:
  • At the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA):
    • Each student is awarded up to 10,000 Euros per year. The scholarship is offered for two years of study (up to 20,000 Euros total), on condition of completing the scholarship requirements.
  • At the Doctoral School:
    • Each student is awarded up to 5,000 Euros. The purpose of the scholarship is to support expenses related to travel for field research. The scholarship is offered for one year of study, corresponding to the second year of the Research Master program, on condition of completing the scholarship requirements.
Scholarships will be disbursed on a semester basis, in September and January of each year.
Requirements
KSP Student Scholarships are awarded based on the following conditions:
  • At the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA):
    • The scholarship is valid for the 2 years of study on condition of sufficient academic performance (top 50% of class by the end of the first year). Students who do not meet this requirement will have their scholarship withdrawn in the second year.
    • The scholarship is dependent on the awardees following the same course of study for 2 years. A change in Master or concentration will lead to the withdrawal of the scholarship in the second year.
  • At the Doctoral School:
    • The scholarship is valid for the two semesters of study of the Master’s second year on condition of sufficient academic performance (top 50% of class). Students who do not meet this requirement in the first semester of their second year will have their scholarship withdrawn in the second semester.
    • The scholarship is dependant on the awardees writing a Master thesis focusing on the Arab World or the Gulf Region. A change in Master thesis topic will lead to the withdrawal of the scholarship in the second semester.
